Software Engineering Institute

The Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is a federally funded research and development center sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) based at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). The SEI helps organizations to acquire, develop, operate, and sustain software systems that are innovative, affordable, enduring, and trustworthy.

THE SEI METHODOLOGY

Team Software Process (TSP) guides engineering teams that are developing software-intensive products. Using TSP helps organizations establish a mature and disciplined engineering practice that produces secure, reliable software in less time and at lower costs.

Personal Software Process (PSP). The SEI provides through cutting-edge research and world-class training the tools for industry best practices to create and maintain software, systems, and organizations that are efficient, secure, and reliable.
